In order to qualify for Incapacity Benefit in Youth (IB(Y)) you need to be able to demonstrate that you have been ordinarily resident and present in Great Britain for more than 26 weeks in the past year.

You will not be awarded IB(Y) if you are subject to immigration control

The following exemptions allow you to be awarded IB(Y) even if you are subject to immigration control:
