- A "low trauma" fracture- following a fall from standing height or less.
- Backache brought about by repeated spinal compression fractures. These are caused by the bones in the spine becoming weak and crushing together.
- Neck pain
- Height Loss.
- Spinal deformity causing a stooped posture giving hunched-back appearance known as kyphosis or "dowager's hump".
- Limited mobility.
- Reduced bone density detectable by x-ray.
